Brock's Bench #1 - Patio table

Recently, a cabinet maker friend of mine had a nice slab of cherry left over that he couldn't use. When it comes to cabinets, every surface has to be perfect, but this slab had a natural hole in it as well as a live edge. At first, I thought I would just put it on the pile and use it for scraps but then necessity, being the mother she is, struck me.

I was suddenly in the market for a small outdoor patio table that I could situate in between two chairs. It didn't have to be too high off the ground so I thought this would be the perfect.

I've just started cleaning up the slab, sanding it completely flat and making sure the edges are nice and square. Not sure what I'll do about the legs yet but we'll figure that out later.
